Privacy policy: your documents never reach us

Documents

Opening, editing, converting and exporting all happen inside your browser, on your device. PdfNib has no server that receives documents. No page of this site sends the contents of your files anywhere, and you can confirm that by using the site with the internet switched off or by watching your browser's network tools.

What stays on your device

Documents you edit, the files they use, and saved signatures are stored in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) so you can return to them. They are not synced and not visible to us. You can delete any of them from Saved documents, or remove everything by clearing this site's data in your browser.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. The site sets no tracking cookies, uses no advertising networks, and has no analytics scripts. Our hosting provider records ordinary server logs (such as the address that requested a page and when) for security and capacity, as every website does. If we add cookie-free, aggregate page statistics later, this page will say so first.

Email

If you write to us, we keep the correspondence to answer you and to improve PdfNib. Please do not send documents you would not want to leave your device.

Paid plans

Pro payments are handled by Paddle, a payment provider acting as the merchant of record. Paddle receives the details needed to take payment and issue invoices, under its own privacy policy. Our licence service receives your email address and the status of your plan in order to unlock Pro, and stores nothing else: no documents, no passwords, no browsing data. Documents remain on your device on paid plans exactly as on the free plan.

Children

PdfNib has no accounts and collects no personal data, so it can be used at any age.
