Your PDF stays on your device
Most online PDF tools send your file to a server. This one runs in your browser instead, so there is nothing to delete later and nothing to leak.
- Works offline. Load the page, turn off the internet, and it still works.
- No account, no watermark. The result is yours, with nothing added.
Frequently asked questions
- How strong is the protection?
- The file is encrypted with AES-256, the current PDF standard. Anyone opening it needs the password. Choose a long password: the strength of the lock depends on it.
- Where is the password stored?
- Nowhere. It is used once, in your browser, to encrypt the file. If you forget it, the file cannot be opened.
- Can I remove the password later?
- Yes, with the Unlock PDF tool, as long as you know the password.
