Terms of service, in plain words

The service

PdfNib is a PDF editor and a set of PDF tools that run inside your web browser. It is provided by Md Shohel Rana ("we"). By using the site you agree to these terms.

The free editor and free tools may be used without an account. Pro features require a paid plan, described on the pricing page.

Your files and your responsibility

Your documents are processed on your own device and are not sent to us. You are responsible for keeping copies of anything important: browser storage can be cleared by you, by your browser, or by your device.

You may only process documents you have the right to use. Do not use PdfNib to remove protection from files you are not entitled to open, or to forge signatures, stamps or records.

Signatures

The signature tools place an image of a signature on a page. Whether that counts as a valid signature depends on the agreement and the law that applies to it. PdfNib does not provide certificate-based digital signatures and makes no promise that a signed document will be accepted by any particular party.

Paid plans

Pro is sold as a subscription (monthly or yearly) or a fixed-length pass. Prices, taxes and the billing period are shown before you pay. Payments are taken by our payment provider as merchant of record, under their terms as well as these.

Subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are described on the refund page.

If you stop paying, the free editor and tools keep working and every file you made stays yours.

No warranty

PdfNib is provided as is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we do not promise that it is free of errors, that it will always be available, or that its output is suitable for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Intellectual property

The PdfNib software, name and design are ours. Fonts and libraries bundled with the site belong to their authors and are used under their open licences, which are listed in the site's font licence file and footer.

You keep all rights to the documents you create or edit.

Changes

We may change these terms and the service. Material changes to the terms will be announced on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
